My 4 cores worked all very balanced, dunno what happened with your CPU. I noted lowering some graphics do affect performance by 2 fps or more, in that low fps stage (playable) is something. Yes, i said i had 800 ants at 15-20 fps, but that was very playable to me, no slideshow. Seems w/e engine they are using cant handle to much on the screen and only really utilizes 1 core and the rest at maybe half or less.
Was getting uber insects every minute or so near the end before i gave up playing LOL. Noticed ants wouldnt hatch, big groups of ants running back and forth confused where to put food, way to many spawned insects on the map including hundreds+ dead ones littered on the map that wouldnt despawn quick enough, and the spawning rate of insect was outragous, even the "enemy ants" spawned in huge groups non-stop. seen one core being pegged at 100% but overall cpu usage was at 23%, didnt change much either when i started recording my game play with obs. Just tested, was getting low fps (anywhere from 25-5) with barely 500 ants, low temps, low cpu/gpu usage, low ram/vram usage, didnt matter if i set to lowest resolution and lowest settings the game still gave low fps.
